KHI TÔI CHẾT

Khi tôi chết, xin đưa về Tổ Quốc
Quê hương tôi nằm theo dọc biển Đông ,
Dãy Trường Sơn như tay mẹ ẵm bồng
Và ôm ấp đàn con thơ nước Việt.

Khi tôi chết, xin Quốc Kỳ gói trọn
Linh hồn tôi và cả xác thân tôi.
Xin  được nhạc khúc Quốc ca đưa  tiễn
Lần cuối cùng để vĩnh biệt nghìn thu.
Khi tôi chết, thiêu xác tôi, đừng tiếc,
Nửa tro tàn rải dọc dãy Trường Sơn,
Phần còn lại vung ra ngoài biển cả
Để hồn tôi mãi mãi với nước non.
Khi tôi chết, tro tôi nuôi tình Dân Tộc,
Linh hồn tôi vẫn bảo vệ giống nòi.
Lá cờ vàng vang mãi bóng hùng anh,
Dân Tộc Việt vẫn muôn đời bất diệt !

When I die, bring me back my country!
My motherland lies along the East Sea,
Truong Son range like the mother’s carrying arms
Embrace her little Vietnamese children tightly.
When I die, use the national flag wrapping me,
My soul and my whole body,
For departing from this life, the national anthem raises up
And the last time saying farewell forever to me.
When I die, don’t regret to cremate my body.
A half of my ash is scattered over the sea,
Another half is spread along Truong Son range,
For my soul is always with my country.

When I die, my ash cultivates my nation,
My soul still defends my people’s affection.
The yellow flag always resounds our hero’s images,
The nation of Vietnam is everlasting in generations!
